Story Telling at the Made By You Event- Lebanon
In December 2015, to support the global “Made By You” campaign, Converse engaged with the Lebanese local art scene and celebrated Lebanese culture and influence with life changing stories from Lebanon’s top established artists and designers at Station Beirut, a multi faceted creative hub, located in Jisr El Wati, Sin El Fil.
In the larger space of Station, some of the influencers showcased their customised and glorified Chuck Taylor All Stars while sharing their stories after signing the “portrait” of their sneaker. Names included;
Alissar Caracalla – professional dance instructor and choreographer

Bernard Khoury- Architect
Caline Chidiac – local female DJ
Djette – local female DJ
Dori and Alia Mouzannar – Jewellery designers

During the event, a pop-up sale took place, where a percentage of the proceeds went to the Lebanese Autism Society and new collections such as the brand new Chuck Taylor All Star II were pre-communicated, as a teaser, to prepare the guests for the launch in the future.
In the back room, the guests danced to tunes by local female DJs Caline and Djette, sipped their drinks and socialised, while others doodled sketches, patterns and prints on the provided printed photographs of a pair of plain white Chuck Taylor All Star.
